Make a Screenshot

To take a screen shot, hold down the home button (the big button at the bottom) and then push the top button (the Power On/Off button).

The screen will flash and the resulting image will be placed on your camera roll. To view the photo go into the Photos application. Note that your Photo app maybe in a different location. I put mine in the dock.

Camera Roll

Click on the Photo Album called ‘Camera Roll’ to view your screenshot.

Launch the Safari Web Browser app

Your Safari may be in a different location. Hint: Safari’s Icon looks like a compass.

Go to a Webpage

Enter a URL to go to a web page.

Navigate to a Photo

Before you grab an image make sure that you have the rights to reuse the image. Big corporations don’t like you to reuse their images.

With your finger, click and hold on an Image.

Save the Photo

After a short time, an action sheet will popup with the option to ‘Save Image’. Click this button. The photo will be saved to your Photos app, in the Camera Roll.

Go to the Photos App

Look for the sunflower icon to launch your Photos app. It may be in a different location where I keep mine.

Go to the Camera Roll

Once the Photos app launches, select the top roll, the ‘Camera Roll’.

Click on your Photo

View the photo

Here I have stretched the photo and am viewing it sideways. Once you are sure that this is the correct photo, launch CatPaint again and select this photo from the within CatPaint.

Now you are ready to select this photo in CatPaint® and start adding some serious Cats…

Launch CatPaint©

Open Litter Box

Click on the red bar at the bottom of the screen.

Tap ‘Photo from Library’

Select Photo in Camera Roll

View Photo

The image will load into CatPaint® with the Kitty Litter drawer closed. Tap on the red Kitty Litter drawer at the bottom of the screen to reveal the Litter Box. Start adding some Cats…

Add Cats

Tap on screen to start adding Cats.

Launch the Photos app

Locate the icon for your Photos app. Hint, it has the icon of a large sunflower. Mine is in the ‘dock’ on the main screen, yours might be mixed in with the other icons.

Click on the top photo album, the one called ‘Camera Roll’

In the Camera Roll look for the CatPaint image you saved from CatPaint.

Forwarding a screenshot or photo

Tap on the Action icon in the bottom left corner. This will bring up a sheet of actions.

Email Photo

Tap the Email Photo button to send a photo.

Enter Address and Subject

1) Enter an Email Address
2) Subject line
3) Then click the Send button top right.
